Abou Amara Jr.

PROMISE FELLOW OF THE MONTH
November 2009

Abou started his AmeriCorps Promise Fellow program year at Youth Community Connections after graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, where he studied Sociology and Public Policy.

He was a member of the football team, a student senator, and president of the pre-law organization while attending UW-Eau Claire. Over the summer of 2009, he interned for a state legislator in Wisconsin.

Abou was born and raised in Madison, WI, and currently resides in St. Paul, MN. He is self-confessed political junkie – so reading, listening to, or watching anything related to politics is of interest to him.

He also enjoys telling all his Minnesota friends that Wisconsin is way cooler than Minnesota.
