Minnesota Youth Council Sworn in at Camp Ihduhapi
The Minnesota Youth Council started the 2014-15 council year off strong, with a three day retreat at Camp Ihduhapi. Youth members gained and shared essential skills, participating in trainings and activities around interviewing, public speaking, leadership training, and group decision making. Read more »

GradMinnesota Releases Policy Recommendations
Minnesota continues to have one of the worst achievement gaps in the country between whites and students of color, as well as major differences in high school graduation rates based on race, special needs and socio-economic factors. While there are successful evidence-informed efforts working in schools, districts and communities around the state, changes in policy and practice are necessary to bring those efforts to scale and assure that all students have access to an education that prepares them for post-secondary and career success. Promise Fellow Spotlight: Molly Reuter
Some individuals are inspired to serve, and sometimes, entire families are. The Reuters take the ethic of service to a whole new level. Molly Reuter is a 2014-15 AmeriCorps Promise Fellow at Hastings Middle School. Her husband, Jeremy, also served as a Promise Fellow from 2009-2011. Together, they are creating tremendous change for the students at Hastings Middle School. Read more »
AmeriCorps Promise Fellows Poised to Create Historic Impact
During the third week in September, Minnesota Alliance With Youth convened nearly 200 new AmeriCorps Promise Fellows to learn, network, plan and collaborate at the annual Promise Fellow Institute. Gathering at the Earle Brown Heritage Center, the new members spent three days attending trainings, participating in workshops and team-building activities, and getting to know one another. 2015 Red Wagon Awards to Honor Outstanding Youth

The twelfth annual Red Wagon Awards honor young people in grades 6-12 that have shown resiliency and overcome obstacles to achieve academic gains, give back to their community, and grow to become leaders amongst their peers. Twelfth Annual Serve a SmileMini-Grant Program
Minnesota Alliance With Youth and Delta Dental of Minnesota Foundation are pleased to announce the 12th annual Serve a Smile mini-grant program. Through the generosity of Delta Dental of Minnesota Foundation, over $25,000 in mini-grants funding will be made available to Minnesota youth-led service/service-learning projects that address important oral health or health issues.
