I Like This Routine

It’s so simple for me, just a few sets of stairs, and 10 minutes of my time, but it’s a meaningful interaction that we can both count on every day.

There is a student at my school who walks to her 4th period class with me every day. I always wait in the same spot, she always finds me, we chat as we walk, and then she asks me to bring her water during class. The student seems to enjoy routines and told me, “This is like a routine for us. I like this routine.” It’s so simple for me, just a few sets of stairs, and 10 minutes of my time, but it’s a meaningful interaction that we can both count on every day.
