Trust and Growth

"When I first met Roy, I explained to him who I was and why I was at the school. At first, he was quiet and reluctant to talk. Only a few meetings later he thanked me for being there as additional support as he needs the assistance. Shortly after that Roy opened about an issue that was bothering him. I thanked him for trusting me and opening up to me. Although Roy was reluctant, together we braved the counselor's office. The counselor and I were able to provide him with the support he needed. Roy has now sought me out, outside of our meeting time, and looks forward to our conversations. Together we have been able to grow, help, and motivate each other. I feel very grateful to be able make an impact in his life."
