Position Overview
The AmeriCorps Outreach and Partnerships Manager leads strategic efforts to expand and strengthen the network of education, community, and business partners necessary for sustainable growth of the Alliance’s AmeriCorps programs. This position develops and implements coordinated outreach strategies to drive member and host site recruitment. They are responsible for the full cycle of recruitment of schools and nonprofit organizations throughout Minnesota that serve as host sites for the Alliance’s AmeriCorps servicemembers.
The ideal candidate for this position will possess a good understanding of pipeline management techniques in recruitment or similar fields, strong verbal and written communication skills, and a proactive approach to strategic relationship management. Strong organizational skills are required for success in this role, with an ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
Primary Role and Responsibilities
Strategic Recruitment Outreach (30%)
Develop and implement a comprehensive outreach strategy to support aligned development of host site and member recruitment pipelines;
In coordination with Lead Impact Officer, develop multi-channel marketing strategies to increase brand awareness and support recruitment efforts;
Use data and research to inform outreach strategies, especially in hard-to-recruit areas;
Conduct and provide for outreach through targeted communications, including Handshake, job boards, email, phone calls, site visits, conferences, and career fairs to engage prospective host sites and members;
If requested, supervise and support an Alliance-hosted AmeriCorps member.
Full-Cycle Host Site Recruitment (30%)
Develop and implement a comprehensive host site pipeline management strategy in alignment with recruitment team and organization priorities;
Build and maintain regional partnership clusters to support sustainable growth of Alliance AmeriCorps programs across Greater Minnesota;
Maintain effective host site recruitment materials and processes
Coordinate host site application, interview, selection, and onboarding processes in compliance with AmeriCorps grant requirements;
Develop and maintain application questions, interview guides, rubrics, agreements, toolkits, etc;
Maintain accurate records of host site recruitment and partnerships in Salesforce;
Support National Service team with host site supervisor orientation, as needed.
Partnership Development (15%)
Build and maintain relationships with higher education institutions to support on-campus recruitment and development of credentialing and credit opportunities for the Alliance’s AmeriCorps servicemembers;
Build and maintain strategic partnerships with mission-aligned organizations to advance AmeriCorps programming, education programs, and youth development across Minnesota in alignment with broader organizational strategies;
Contribute to the development of an Alliance-wide partnership framework;
Support corporate and foundation fundraising efforts as requested.
Program Evaluation and Continuous Improvement (15%)
Collect and analyze feedback from host sites to assess the success of host site placements and identify areas for improvement and growth;
Use data for continuous improvement of outreach strategies and pipeline management;
Monitor host site recruitment progress, track key performance indicators, and adjust strategies to meet targets.
Organizational Support (10%)
Support Alliance-wide program integration;
Support organizational efforts and events;
Participate on work grouper or projects as assigned;
Assist with compliance and monitoring requests.
Qualifications
6-8 years of relevant combined education and/or work experience (eg. Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2-4 years relevant work experience; Associate’s degree in a related field and 4-6 years relevant work experience):
Experience in recruitment, sales, fundraising, or other experience with pipeline management is required
Experience in education, nonprofits, or community engagement is strongly preferred

Typical Work Environment
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Able to work at a computer for up to 8 hours per day
Able to work in an environment that is quiet but with many people demanding attention
Able to maintain regular operation of normal office machines (telephone, computer, copier, and other office machines) is required
Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Able to work occasional evenings and weekends for meetings and events
Able to regularly travel, with reliable transportation, to recruitment events and partner locations in the Twin Cities metro area and Greater MN; most travel is for day trips, with rare overnight stays required.
Compensation and Benefits
The starting salary range is $53,000 - $57,000, plus an excellent benefit package, including 100% employer-paid health and dental insurance premiums for employees. Minnesota Alliance With Youth operates with a hybrid work schedule, with employees expected to work on site at our office in St. Paul approximately 2 days per week.
