On the Radio

"In January, I had the opportunity to appear on KWNG radio to discuss our organization, shoe donation program, and the services we provide. Our youth-focused services include mentoring, teaching independent living skills to help young people thrive in daily life, and creating a space for youth advocacy and leadership. In January, our organization hosted a shoe drive to collect gently used shoes from around town. For every pound collected, a certain amount of money was donated to support our community. It was a unique experience for me to talk on the radio, but I had a great time speaking with Greg Taylor. His energy was contagious, and his thought-provoking questions made the conversation engaging. It was an incredible experience to step out of my comfort zone and go on the radio—something I never imagined doing during my service!"
