One cool thing I got to experience this month was meeting with two staff members from the Minnesota Twins. The Minnesota Twins Nike RBI Program is partnered with SPPR, Twins Community Fund, MLB, and Minneapolis Parks and Recreation to help run the program. The partnership has been great to learn about from my supervisors and the program directors at the Twins. I have learned how the organizations work together to help increase participation in baseball and softball while creating positive team experiences. I met with the Twins to discuss collaborating on the lesson plans I am already working on for my project and how they can help me by providing resources to create the best possible lesson plans for the Nike RBI volunteer coaches. Collaborating with the Twins is an opportunity I am looking forward to and the ways we can work together to help provide more opportunities for youth athletes across the Twin Cities. These types of partnerships are great to see as they help create opportunities for youth in Minneapolis and St. Paul to participate in various sports
